A) Let's just get this motor running, period! It has been one week today since we have been without a plane. Matthew's ADD has kicked into overdrive somewhat and therefore so has mine. While he's been incredibly patient and kept a good humor through this entire ordeal, I know he's ready to get back into the plane and start serving our customers.
B) And by "Wild Weekend", I mean catching up on spraying and 80,000lbs of corn fertilizing! WOOooooo Par-Tay! I might even get a little extra crazy tomorrow afternoon by sweeping & mopping the office!
Matthew and G.W. got in from Marianna late yesterday afternoon and Robert has been working most of today reinstalling/working on attaching the engine to plane. (Please forgive my use of technical terms) Shawn went to Mountain View to pick up the prop earlier and should be headed back! Once he returns they can reattach it (once again, no clue about the mechanical term) and Matthew should be ready to rock and roll!
While this has been somewhat of a hassle, I can never emphasize enough that we'd rather be safe than sorry. If we didn't pull the prop or engine there was a chance that the engine could have stalled in flight or that the prop wouldn't working properly. We now have an engine that has been thoroughly inspected by several professionals and a prop that has been balanced with three new blades. Old Yella Bird (I just made that up, what do you think?) will be good as new flying the Delta skies and brother bear... well, I bet he'll have a smile on his face a mile wide as soon as he straps in!
Have a wonderful weekend everybody and in the words of the great George Jones, "Forget the Working Blues and Let the Good Times Roll!"
